  Great campground with no "day-use" area, so all the people in the campground are staying there, and there is a gate that is locked at all times, which you get the code when you make a reservation. There is no electricity at the campsites, but you do have a spigot for water, a campfire ring with an adjustable grill grate, a picnic table that doesn't move, and a post to hang food and trash. Most campsites are mostly shaded, and large enough to spread out. There was only 1 other group on our side of the campground when we were there, but they were several sites away. It gets really dark at night and there are no lights, other than those shining from the bathrooms. We could see lots of stars, but there are lots of trees that made it difficult to get a good panoramic view of the night sky. You can hear the traffic from the near by road, but I didn't find it to be too annoying. The bathrooms were clean enough, and there are no showers. There is an electrical outlet outside of the bathroom if you need to charge your phone or something. You have to walk down a pretty steep hill to get to the water in the mine. There are two alligators that live in the mine, so I wasn't going to go swimming, but you can if you want. The fishing is supposed to be pretty decent, as long as the alligator doesn't get your fish before it is reeled it. There was plenty of firewood and kindling to collect from around the campground, but we had to venture into the woods just a little bit, and it helped to have a hatchet to break down some of the bigger limbs that we found. The man that volunteers at the campground was very nice and informative, telling us about the mine, gators, weather, and such. We had a great time and would definitely return.
